FLIGHT SCHEDULE

On Saturday April 20 (5 PM), we can book of flights on the Delta App, but it doesn't buy us anything. We still have to go to the Delta desk to show our passports and check our luggage.

Use Delta's FlyReady in their app and use Visit Japan Web to get into the country.

We all have Global Entry (GE) that includes TSA Pre-check. Make sure it shows on the airline ticket before leaving Delta's desk. At Security we need to show our PASSPORTS and ticket but not the GE card.  FYI: GE and TSA not used in Korea or Japan.

There is a 14-hour time difference between Nashville CDT and Japan JST. JST and KST are on the same time and do not use day light time.

US Immigration is at Atlanta. With Global Entry go to one of their dozen Kiosks in huge immigration room. On the Kiosk, scan your PASSPORT (GE card not needed) and scan your face. Next, go to luggage rack, pick up your bag, pass through customs, and load your luggage to the pickup belt.

Rosemary and Phil,

Tauck had called Cynthia about the tight transfer (1 hr & 36 mim) from Atlanta to Nashville. We had to go through immigration & customs and I have no recent experience with Atlanta International. We had the most optimum setup with Global Entry & airline setting and might have met the time. But, it was tight and we would be running.

A little spring weather and we could be spending the night in Atlanta. Why take the risk and the extra nerves? Tauck is the expert and if they were concerned, that was a good reason for us.

I just checked Delta and they have us back on our original schedule leaving at 10:54 PM. If all goes well, we could always try for the earlier flight while in Atlanta, but why?
